Prayer time, just before we went to bed at night, was both a happy and anxious time for me. We five children settled ourselves on our knees around Mother in the rocking chair. And after saying our prayers and feeling our Mother’s hand on our heads, we would stay in the crouched position and each of us in turn had the chance to talk about our innermost cares and concerns.
